1998 - The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge in Japan opened becoming the largest suspension bridge in the world. It links Shikoku and Honshu. The bridge cost about $3.8 billion.

Mention "Blue Devil Golf" when ordering and a portion of your bill will be donated to the team.  Meet the players and wish them good luck as they begin their quest for a 6th consecutive DVC Championship!

-Come support Cultural Exchange Club's trip to Korea at Cultive Frozen Yogurt today, Thursday, April 5th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.  Mention the Davis Cultural Exchange Club to help fundraise!

-Attention, Attention!  TODAY is the last day to buy Mr. Blue Devil tickets for $10.  Come to the Finance Office window during lunch for your last chance.  At the door tonight, tickets will be $12.

-SENIORS:  TOMORROW, FRIDAY APRIL 6 is the deadline to submit applications for many local scholarships to the Career Center N-17!  Scholarships due Friday include the Standard Application for Local Scholarships, PTA, California School Employees Association, Armstrong Family Education, Beeghly-Merritt, Novozymes, Davis Chamber of Commerce and many more.  Bring your completed applications to the Career Center N-17 this FRIDAY BY 4:00 P.M.!

-Attention friendly people!  If you are planning on applying to be a Friendship Day facilitator, applications are due tomorrow, Friday, April 6th in Mr. Williams' mail box by the end of school!

-Reminder for Seniors!  The last day to sign up for ASVAB is Friday, April 6.  ASVAB is a great tool for your future and is free!  The sign-up sheet is located at the Front Desk.

-Seniors: If you are planning on attending Sacramento State University in Fall, 2012, you must request a transcript now.   Due to this campus being impacted, your acceptance will be rescinded if the transcript is not received by Sacramento State by April 10, 2012.  Please order your transcript at the counseling office.
-Attention graduating Senior CSF members!  Senior Status is posted in the window of Ms. O'Brien's room, P-13.  You must check the list and verify your status before April 20 to be recognized as a lifetime or active lifetime member.  This is your responsibility and the deadline is April 20!

-Want a chance to get your art out there?  Donate a piece of art to the DHS Drama Department's Art Auction.  Submission forms are in the front office and the deadline is April 22nd.  Help us get to Scotland with your talent!

-HEY SENIORS!  It is time to make your reservation for Grad Night!    Grad Night is Friday, June 8 from 9:30 to 5:00 am at Emerson Junior High.   No one will be admitted after midnight! Tickets are $90 and the check should be made payable to "Davis Grad Night." Senior's name will be on a paid list at Grad Night check-in.  Seniors must be eligible to walk in their graduation ceremony to attend and must present an ID to enter Grad Night.  You can mail or scan in your kindergarten photo for the Grad Night Kindergarten Wall.  You can also mail your reservation.
