- Join CSF!  These are the last 2 days of registration for the CSF Fall Semester.  Go to Ms. O'Brien's room, P-13 with your completed pink registration form, $5.00 and your grade report.  Be sure to come because registration ends promptly at the end of lunch this Thursday!

-Hey Speech and Debate team members, there will be a meeting today after school in P-23.  Hope to see you there!

-Hey Key Clubbers! Come to the second general meeting of the year today at lunch.  We will be discussing membership dues and money for t-shirt orders.  Stick around until the end for a little treat for everyone!

-Are you interested in discussing ways to make DHS a more welcoming place for all students? Come to our first DHS Climate Committee meeting on Wednesday, September 21 at 2:45 in room O-06. If you have questions, please see Ms. Floyd, Mrs. Diaz-Hess or Mr. McHale.

-It's that time of year to volunteer! National Honor Society registration continues this week at lunch through Thursday, September 22. Bring your ID card, last semester grades, $5 and your hour sheet if you are a continuing member. We will continue registration in front of room S-12. See you there!

-Attention: Juniors! The PSAT is coming soon!  Sign-up at lunch October 3rd through October 7th in the large conference room.  The tests will be held on Saturday, October 15th from 7:45 to 11:30 am.  The cost is $24.00 and you must bring your student ID.  10th graders may sign up on Friday only.  If the fee is a hardship, please see your counselor as soon as possible to arrange for a fee waiver.  This is available on a first-come, first-serve basis only.
-Come watch DHS Boys Soccer take on our rival Jesuit this Friday, September 23. This is the biggest soccer match of the season!! Game times are 4:00 Varsity and 5:30 JV at Jesuit High School. Carpool over to the game wearing your "Freakishly Blue Friday" gear. After the games, head back to DHS to catch all or part of the football Homecoming Game. Show your Blue Devil Pride!

-Workouts for the DHS Men's Basketball program have changed:  VARSITY: Mondays 3-5:30pm, Tuesdays 3-5pm, Wednesdays 3 - 5pm and Thursdays 2:30 - 5pm, Friday 6 - 7 am & 2 - 3:30 pm, Saturday 10:30 - 12pm. JV and Freshman:  Mondays 5 - 7:15pm, Wednesdays 5 - 7:15 pm and Thursdays 5 - 7:15 pm. . -Seniors! It is time to tell your parents about yearbook senior ads. Please give them the packet that you received at the senior assembly or go to www.dhsyearbook.wordpress.com to download the forms.

-Davis Senior High School is seeking a parent/community member to serve on the School Site Council for the 2011-2012 school year.  The School Site Council discusses ways to improve student achievement and meets at Davis Senior High School on the fourth Thursday of each month at 3:00.   If you are interested in applying to serve, please contact Vice Principal Tom McHale at tmchale at djusd.net

-Davis Senior High School's Scholarship and Financial Aid Office has a new name and a new location!  The office will now be called the "Career Center" and is located in the N-17 portable building behind the IPAB. The Career Center provides support and resources for students interested in colleges, scholarships, financial aid, jobs, volunteer and internship opportunities, summer activities, study abroad programs and military options. Students and parents are welcome to visit during office hours Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We look forward to assisting Davis Senior High School students as they prepare for life after high school!  Come by on Monday to see what we have to offer!
