-Sophomores interested in the DHS Baseball program should attend an information meeting on January 4th at 4:00pm at the DHS Varsity Baseball field.

- DHS Boys Volleyball- Pre-conditioning begins Today, January 3rd. Workouts will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5:30 in the DHS weight room. Tryouts start on February 6th. All 9th-12th grade boys are welcome. Any questions, email Julie Crawford at jcrawford at djusd.net

-CFS-There will be a CSF meeting this Friday. It will be the final meeting of the semester,    so be sure to attend!

-Seniors: Need money for college? Then come to the DHS Financial Workshop on Thursday, January 19 at 7:00pm in the IPAB. At the workshop you'll learn how to apply for federal and state financial aid for college. All seniors and their parents are invited to attend. Come to the Career Center in room N-17 for more information.

-Attention All DHS Instrumental Soloists- This year's annual DHS Orchestra Concerto Competition is being held Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 7:00pm on stage in the DHS Dick Brunelle Performance Hall. It is open to all DHS instrumentalist. The winner of this competition will be given the honor of performing with the DHS Symphony Orchestra at the Mondavi Center in Jackson Hall at the Wennberg Music Festival on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 2:00 pm as well as a check for $300.00. A sign-up sheet and informational flyer will be located starting Wednesday, December 14th on the window of the computer lab in PA-3. -The City of Davis' Recreation Division will be hosting its 6th annual Recreation Job Skills Workshop on Wednesday,
February 1, 2012 from 4:00-6:00pm. This upcoming event has a brand NEW format and will include presentations on how to make contacts, prepare for an interview, tips on how to increase your chances of employment, and participants will even be able to partake in a mock interview! -Want to turn your trash into something useful? The Environmental Club is collecting clean, dry plastic bags, wrappers and saran wrap to build a bench. Look for flyers around school for more info and deposit your plastic bags and wrappers in the special bins in the science quad and main quad.

-RECYCLE REMINDER: The Green Recycle Bins are for Paper and Plastic ONLY! Cardboard Recycle is located in the Dumpster Area!
