* Are you taking Calculus BC next year? Stop by the mandatory meeting, TODAY at lunch in N-9 to receive your summer assignment.
* Celebrate the end of AP testing at Dos Coyotes! The DHS Debate Team is having a fundraiser TODAY from 4 to 9pm. Pick up a coupon in S-7 or from any Debate Team member.
* Juniors: If you are interested in applying to private colleges next year, please attend the Private College Workshop TODAY during lunchtime in the new gym. Sally Springer, author of "Admission Matters" will be presenting valuable information.
* The Community for Fair Trade Club is having their last movie night of the year! To see the movie Blood Diamond and learn more about Fair Trade, come to P-24 TODAY at 6:30 pm. There will be lots of free and delicious food! Ask your teachers for extra credit.
* There will be a photography club meeting TODAY in the photo room, A-4. There will be pizza and lots of interesting photography talk. See you there!
* Cultural Exchange club meets TODAY during lunch in P-14. We'll see you there!

* Attention all physical education students: The last day to do P.E. make ups is Friday May 28th! After that no make ups will be accepted. Until that time, you can make up everyday at lunch in the big gym and on Wednesday's at lunch or after school you can dress out and run the track (running is the only way to make up cardio points). Please be on time!
* SENIORS: Top 5 Reasons to Buy your Grad Night ticket now! Reason #4: Your parents need the time to think of another graduation gift for you. Tickets are $90 each if purchased by May 31st, but they will be $110 if you wait to buy them at the door. Tickets will be on sale at lunch May 24 ,25, & 26 on the DHS Quad or you can download an order form at www.davisgradnight.org. DON'T wait until the last minute!

* Important Reminder to students: Students leaving class for appointments must check out with the Attendance office and get a pass before leaving campus!
* The Davis High School Men's Blue Devil Basketball summer tryouts will be held Monday, May 24 thru Friday, May 28 in the Davis High Gymnasium. Varsity tryouts will be from 4 pm to 5:30 pm and JV/Freshmen from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. * Wednesday, May 19, is the deadline for submitting information and articles for the June 2010 Davis High School PTA newsletter. Please send news, announcements, etc. to the DHS PTA Media listserver at DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org <mailto:DHSPTAmedia at mailman.dcn.org>. Please include your name, your e-mail address, your parent's name and e-mail address, and your phone number in case the newsletter editor has questions about your submission. This is a great way to inform, notify or enlist parents' help for upcoming DHS school and student activities.
* If you are interested in attending DSIS next fall, you may pick up an application now from the counseling office. The first SST for fall students will be held May 20.
* Cruz Reynoso, a former California Supreme Court Justice will be speaking in the IPAB on Wednesday, May 19th during lunch. His topic will be immigration law. Remember, no food or drinks are allowed in the IPAB.
* Davis World Cup 2010, the premier annual AYSO Select Soccer Tournament held in Davis is quickly approaching. Memorial Day Weekend, May 29th - May 31st, over 150 teams throughout the state will come to Davis and compete. AYSO needs your help! Join the fun and lend a helping hand.
* SENIORS: Have you been the recipient of any scholarships or awards not administered by the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office, including those from the college you will attend in the fall? If so, please come to the Scholarship Office and sign the "Outside Award" list. These awards will be announced at Senior Awards Night, which is scheduled for Tuesday, June 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Theater.
* SENIORS: Did you apply for a local scholarship? If so, check the announcement board outside the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office to see if your name is on the list of recipients!
* Sports Physical Day at Sutter Davis is Saturday, June 5th from 8:30-11:30am at Sutter Family Practice, 2030 Sutter Place Suite 2000. Why wait? Students in grades 7-12 are encouraged to complete their sports physicals this spring at Sutter West Medical Group for the 2010-11 school year. Coaches strongly recommend that you take this opportunity to get your physicals early so that you can be ready to participate in early tryouts. Your $20 donations will benefit the DHS Athletics Department. Sports Physical packets can be picked up at your student's school office or online at www.davisseniorhigh.net <http://www.davisseniorhigh.net> Packets must be completed, signed by a parent/guardian and brought with you on June 5th in order to participate in the clinic.
