I hope the school year is winding down smoothly for you.

I just wanted to let your students know that we still have room at Jazz Camp for all instruments, except for alto sax. If you have saxophonists who still haven’t made summer camp plans, please encourage them to register on tenor or bari, or to use this summer as a chance to master one of their doubles.

It’s been a while since we’ve had many musicians from Davis High, so I’d like to extend an offer of a substantial discount to your students. If they register by midnight on June 3 and use the promo code SJWJUNE3, they’ll receive a discount off of tuition and housing of $250.

I’ve attached a flyer that gives a few more details; please forward this on to any students who would benefit from a week at Jazz Camp, either from July 14 -19, or from July 21 -26, at Stanford University. As you know so well, we focus on jazz and improvisation at Jazz Camp, but your students don’t need to have any jazz experience to attend. At Jazz Camp, your students get an instrumental master class every day, a private lesson, music theory and ear training classes every day, and they get to attend the Stanford Jazz Festival at night. There’s really no other camp experience like it!

I don’t need to tell you that the benefit to your program will be students who are fired up about practicing, participating, and helping your ensembles to sound great.
