[Dhsbb-jazz] Tea party fundraiser update in light of trip cancellation

Dear jazz band families,
I thank Alex for his tremendous effort up until the very last moment to get this trip off the ground, alas it was out of our hands.  I truly hope your kids can join us for the Disney trip, especially if enough can go to have a Disney jazz recording session (which sounds amazing!).
In regards to the Tea Party fundraiser: I know there were at least 7 jazz band families who participated.  This email is if your family participated in the Tea Party, and DO NOT decide to go to Disneyland (i.e. you did the Tea party letters, but are NOT going on a trip):

The Tea Party fundraiser is designed to help the entire band program's yearly operating costs, but as mentioned in the Tea Party letter part of those costs are to help support the trips, and there may have been those folks who donated because of the New Orleans trip.  When I receive donations, I do not keep track of any donor contact information, just names and how much they donated.  I will leave it in your hands to contact them, in case the main reason they were donating at all was for the trip portion of the year.  I hope they would still let us keep their tax deductible donation as it does go to fund all band programs, including jazz, during the year.  But I want to be transparent in light of this trip cancellation.
Please let me know if your donor would like a refund, and we can arrange that.
