Hi all,

I hope you are having a wonderful Summer. As we have done for many years, we will have a pep band kick off the 4th of July kiddie parade tomorrow. We need folks to show up at 1st and C street at 9:00am tomorrow. If you need percussion or large instruments, please meet me at the band room at 8:15am tomorrow. Everyone should bring their Pep Band folder and I will bring a limited amount of music to cover missing parts.

This is a very fun gig and everyone, alumni, current band members, and incoming band members, are invited!

The newly expanded Teagarden Jazz Camp is in need of a few more students ages 12-20 to complete its roster for this summer's camps. PLEASE, if you know of any students who would benefit from a week at Sly Park learning about improvisation and having fun, have them contact the Camp Director at bdendle at comcast.net<mailto:bdendle at comcast.net> ASAP!

Specifically, the camps need the following instrumentation: trombone, piano, bass/tuba, and banjo/guitar

Week one begins 7/23 and ends 7/29; week two starts 7/31 and ends 8/6

SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE!!! Please get the word out to all your students and fellow teachers. Thanks!

Hello Mr Slabaugh,

I am attaching a flyer for a great jazz quartet that will be playing in Davis on 8/5 - could you please forward this to anyone that might be interested?

Rob Kohler is the bass instructor for the Stanford Jazz camp, and he will be in town because of that.  His brother, Lee, is local and is a great jazz pianist.  They will be playing together on Saturday 8/5 at 7 p.m. at the Davis Lutheran Church at the corner of 8th and B Streets.
