If you know students in grades 4 to 6 in the district who might be interested in participating in the elementary music program, please pass the following information on to them and their parents. Parent meetings begin on Thursday, Sept. 1, and continue into the next two weeks. Attendance is required for beginning students.

DJUSD will continue offering intermediate grade students the following music classes for 2016-2017:

Beginning string lessons for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders
.
Beginning band lessons for 5th and 6th graders
.
Continuing lessons for all 4th, 5th, and 6th graders who have already had 1 year of private or school lessons and meet the standards for second-year students.
To enroll your child in a beginning class, you and your child must first go to one of these meetings:
Band: Sept. 12 @ 7:30 p.m.; Sept. 13 @ 7:30 p.m. at Davis High School auditorium – 315 W. 14th Street
Strings: Thurs., Sept. 1, Fri. Sept. 2, Tues. Sept. 6, Wed., Sept. 7 @ 7:30 p.m. at Davis High School auditorium – 315 W. 14th Street
