We are firming up details for a fabulous Spring Band Trip to San Diego but need to hear from EVERYONE.

Roster:
We are still waiting to hear from about 25 families - we must hear from everyone in a band at DHS to know that your student will or will not be joining us for this amazing event. We want to be sure we have enough space on the busses and in the hotel for everyone that wants to go.   If you can no longer find the form sent home in October, please go the booster website in the Spring Trip Section and download the information letter (which has the forms) there.  Please fill it out and return it and any installments to the box in the band room or mail it to the PO box listed on the form.

Trip dates are:  May 15 - 19th.

Costs:
We are hoping the second recommended pledge installments (another $200) will all be received by Jan 30th.  We will soon be paying for large ticket items like bus and hotel to make the trip happen.  Checks should be made out to DHS Band Boosters and can be mailed to

Band boosters offers many fund raisers throughout the year to help lower the cost of the trip for everyone.  Please support our largest fundraiser of the year coming up on March 7th, Coconut Grove.

Remember that we want all students who wish to attend the trip to be able to do so, and band boosters has set aside some extra funds to support those who pledge a different amount than the full cost of the trip/student.  The anticipated amount it will cost us for each person attending this trip is about $583.  We hope to be able to offer this trip for much less per student based on how much our fundraisers generate this year.   We have already done well with our football fundraiser and our pizza fundraisers and are well on our way to lowering the trip price for everyone.  The final trip amount to fully fund a student will vary depending on our fundraising success, and will be determined in March after the Coconut Grove proceeds are tallied.  Please tell all your friends to attend this fun evening - we need it to sell out!

PS:  Reminder that there is a Coconut Grove planning meeting TONIGHT (Friday Jan 16) at the Band-a-thon which begins at 6:30 at Emerson Junior High.   Hope to see many faces there!
