The kids have been hard at work for the last week and will polish up their performance in the coming days. The music will be fun. Fredrick Lange, retired director of the Davis Senior High School bands, has two new jazz works for this year?s concert, Eine Kleine Yiddishe Ragmusik by Adam Gorb and The Nonpareil, by Scott Joplin. We'll also do the finger busters, Trevor Wye's Tico Tico and The Shadow of Your Smile. The classical portion of the concert will feature Sonny Burnette?s Stained Glass Images with seven movements each inspired by a particular internationally famous stained glass piece. An image of each window will be projected during the music. Note: Noah Wolfe and Jacob Cross will form the rhythm section to accompany the jazz portion of our concert. See you there.
