Dear Tom,

I wanted to let you know about a free concert report opportunity for students coming up this Thursday evening.  The Yolo Arts Foundation is sponsoring a musical “Mandala” celebrating connections between local arts and agriculture. It will include performances by choral and instrumental groups, including a performance of the Valley of the Sun Suite, accompanied by a slide show presentation on a large outdoor screen. There will also be a special presentation of John Mackey’s Harvest Concerto featuring Chip Tingle on trombone.  Audience members are invited to bring their instruments (or come early and make their own percussion instruments) to join in with the musicians to perform Julie Giroux’s March of the Sundried Tomatoes.  It is outdoors at the amphitheater at Woodland Community College on Gibson Rd, from 7-8:30 pm.  See more details below.

It should be an enjoyable evening for students and their families, at no cost.
