[Dhsbb-jazz] Summer Open Jam Sessions

Hi all,

I hope you are all enjoying your Summer so far. Beginning tomorrow, I will be opening the band room at DHS on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, from around 9:00am to Noon. If you would like to come by a play, you are most welcome to do so regardless of the ensemble you will play in next year. We have the following...

All of the chair placement audition materials for Symphonic Band.

The CBDA All-State honor band audition material. This is the same as the aforementioned chair placement auditions. A portion of these will be used for the Nor-Cal and CMEA Cap-Section Honor Bands.

A bunch of "Real Books."

Several Jamey Abersold books with lead sheets, preparatory scales, and transcribed solos. Each book contains CD accompaniment that can be used with each piece. Very cool!

Everyone is invited to come on by as their schedule permits and play anything they find interesting! Heck, feel free to stop by and just say Hi to Mr. Slabaugh and his pup, Bob!
