[Dhsbb-jazz] DHS Band Boosters - Summer is almost over & we have stuff to do

Greetings DHS Band Boosters,
I hope everyone has had a great summer!!

First off, I know that the listserver is not updated yet with the new names added and last year's graduating senior families moved to the Family & Friends list.
That will be done as we get into the year and get everyone's emails logged in.

People are already at work getting things going for this coming school year, which looks like it will be great!

Here are a couple of key items that you should be aware of in the first couple weeks of the school year:

                August:
                                Thurs 8/29:  6:00 pm, DHS Band Welcome Back BBQ (put on by the Band Boosters.  All DHS band members are invited (Concert, Symphonic, Jazz & Pep).
                                                        It will be held in the MPR Courtyard on DHS Campus.
                                                         7:30 pm, the first Pep Band Rehearsal  (may even have some initial marching practice; that's up to Mr. Slabaugh).
                                Sat 8/31:       DHS Band Car Wash #1 - 9:00 am at the DJUSD District Lot, 5th & C.   This is the 1st of 4 that we are doing.
                                                        Gwynn Benner is already hard at work getting volunteers together to help with this and the follow on car washes.  Please sign up.

WE NEED YOUR HELP (Students & Parents).
                September:
                                Tue 9/3:    Begins 2 weeks of chair placement auditions for the bands.
                                Wed 9/4:    Our first DHS Band Booster Meeting and Welcome to all parents.  Please plan on attending and getting a good view of the fun activities for the year.
                                Sat 9/7:      DHS Band Car Wash #2 - 9:00 am at the DJUSD District Lot, 5th & C.

Other items coming up:
I will be sending out a list of areas that we need help with, please watch for that as we get things going again and sign up to help.
