[Dhsbb-jazz] Reminder about Festivity of Bands and Coconut Grove

One last reminder about two great events:

TONIGHT: The FESTIVITY OF BANDS concert is tonight (Wed Feb 29) at 7 pm in Jackson Hall at the Mondavi Center on the UCD campus. The concert presents performances by the DHS Symphonic Band, the UCD Concert Band and Campus Band and the CSU Sacramento Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Fred Lange will be honored as the conductor of the combined musicians from all of the bands for a performance of Julie Giroux's "Legacy". Come and say thank you to Fred for the musical "Legacy" that he will leave for the DHS band programs.  If you order online soon you can obtain reduced price tickets ($5.00) at the Mondavi website by entering MOZART in the promo code window and picking them up at the box office tonight (please limit to a small # of tickets). Otherwise, tickets at the door are $12 adults, $8 students/children.

AN EVENING AT COCONUT GROVE: Saturday March 10, 6:30-10 pm (doors open at 6 pm) at the Emerson Junior High Indoor Commons, 2121 Calaveras Ave. This annual event transports you to one of the great Jazz Clubs of bygone days, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Dos Coyotes plus dessert, while you enjoy a full evening of jazz entertainment.
