[Dhsbb-jazz] Parent Hotel Room info for Monterey Trip

Hi Jazz Band Parents,
Since more than half of us are going on the Monterey Jazz Band trip, I am  
sending this note to the listserv.  Please disregard this info if you are  
NOT going to Monterey with the band.
 
For all parents that requested a room with the group at the Portola Hotel  
we have been given all the rooms we have requested.  That would be 7 rooms  
for the students, and 13 for the parents!!  Check in is Fri April 1 and  
check out is Sun. April 3.  
 
The student costs will be handled separately, and info on that will be sent 
 in a separate email once all the details are determined.
 
For the parents coming along however we do have the info on the hotel  
rooms.  We need to pay for these rooms as one group in the next couple of  
weeks.  We are hoping to collect parent payments now so that  our treasurer has 
time to do all the accounting before the payment is  due.   The room rate 
varies depending on how many people occupy the  room and that is why they 
requested names and a rooming list.  Prices are  listed below and include the 2 
nights at the hotel, and the hotel tax, CA  Tourism Assessment and the CA 
County Assessment. (!)    Note  there is an additional parking fee if you want 
to park onsite that you  will pay separately once you check in, and can 
choose to either self park or  have your car valet parked.

BE SURE TO NOTE ON YOUR CHECK THIS IS FOR THE PARENT PORTION OF THE JAZZ  
BAND TRIP!  We are collecting regular band trip funds, student jazz trip  
funds, and it is easy to get things mixed up, so please make it clear on your  
check what the money is intended for.

Total cost for:
1 or 2 people = $336 (Ebeler, Rummery, Shickman, Wardrip/Hochman**, Cross,  
Waterstraat, Boulanger, Young, Miille, Chew, Lavernia)
 
3 people = $380 (Horn, McCauley, Yamamoto)
 
4 people =  $424 (Theg)
 
** Wardrip/Hochman - you would owe half that amount each so a total of $168 
 each.
 
Please also note that we will be providing a simple breakfast for the kids  
of bagels, fruit, juice etc each morning so they won't have to take the 
time and  expense of finding a restaurant for breakfast.  We are not 
coordinating  this for the families however, so plan on getting your own breakfast 
however you  choose to do that.  :)
