[Dhsbb-jazz] Reserve your tickets for An Evening at Coconut Grove

Don't forget to make your reservations soon for An Evening at Coconut Grove! (A reservation form can be downloaded at http://www.dhsbandboosters.com).  Reservations made before March 1 receive a discount, and seats will go fast.

This will be a wonderful evening of hot jazz, great food (admission includes table service of snacks, appetizers and delicious desserts), and fellowship with your music friends and neighbors.  The program will include the Jazz Bands from Emerson and Harper Junior High, Celia Cottle's community youth jazz bands the J Street Jazz Cats, Sax by Popular Demand and Crazy Eights, and the evening will be capped off by a performance by our own DHS Jazz Band.  This is a great opportunity to hear the Jazz Band play before they head off to Monterey as one of 12 high school big bands from across the country invited to participate in the Monterey Next Generation Jazz Festival at the beginning of April.

You will also have the opportunity to bid on some great items at the silent auction. Doors will open for check-in at 6 pm and the program begins at 7 pm on Saturday March 12, in the Coconut Grove Ballroom, a.k.a. the indoor commons at Emerson Junior High. (Note that the DHS MPR cannot be used this year).  Proceeds will support the combined bands' trip to Victoria, British Columbia to participate in the Victoria Days celebration.  Children under 5 are free, students $10, adults $20 until March 1, $25 after March 1 or at the door.  Invite your friends and neighbors and send in your reservation today!
