Dear Jazz Band Parents and Fans,

Please be sure to mark your calendars and attend the combined Jazz Band - Capitol Jazz Project concert:

Note that Jazz Band students need to be in the Band Room at 6:15 PM in preparation for the concert.

The CJP has chosen the music of Ornette Coleman for this concert, and is coming to Davis as part of their ongoing jazz education program for Sacramento area students. 

Last year's concert with the Capitol Jazz Project was nothing short of extraordinary, so be sure not to miss this year's performances. Each band will have its own set, with the bonus of members from each band joining the other.

Your attendance and support at this concert helps promote jazz education and excellence in the region, in addition to being a great way to spend the evening.  Please be sure to come (and bring your friends and neighbors) for a solid show of support!

Even though this is Super Bowl Sunday, the game should be over by concert time.  In tribute to the Super Bowl, we promise a moratorium on endless streams of commercials and wardrobe malfunctions.  

Rather than cleaning up the baked beans, cheesecake or guacamole (if you're not partial to Boston or NY cuisine), leave the party leftovers behind and come hear a Super concert!  It'll Bowl you over...
