Hi, everyone...  A reminder that we'll have the final Band Boosters' meeting 
for this school year on Thursday, June 7th.  Usual time...  usual place. 
This meeting will be very short.  If you are an officer or activity 
coordinator who won't be returning next year, please bring your Band 
Boosters' folder (if you have one) and any historical records to the 
meeting.  Let me know if you can't make the meeting and we'll make other 
arrangements for you to pass your folder onto next year's board.

Thank you, everyone, for all your support this year!  We have had a great 
year and our band students have had an even better year!  Just as the band 
students have found lasting friendships among their fellow musicians, so 
have many of us parents also found friends who will continue long after our 
sons and daughters leave DHS.  Thank you, Fred Lange, for helping our sons 
and daughters achieve their musical potentials!

	Year's Band Trip!

To all students returning to Symphonic, Concert and/or Jazz Bands for  
2007 - 2008:

The Band Trip next year (May, 2008) is to Victoria, British  
Columbia.  New regulations require that EVERY person returning from  
Canada to the US have a valid passport.

There are NO exceptions.  If a student does not have a passport he or  
she will not be able to participate in this trip, which is a fabulous  
experience.

If your student already has a passport, please confirm that it will  
be valid for several months after May, 2008 (there can reportedly be  
issues if one travels with a passport close to expiration).

If your student does not have a passport, please take advantage of  
the summer vacation to apply for one.  Application forms are at the  
Post Office.  Passport pictures can be taken at a number of locations  
(the Post Office, Longs, Kinkos, PostMark's, Costco, etc.).  It  
appears to be taking two months for the application to be processed.

Ideally, everyone should have valid passports by the beginning of the  
next academic year.  Please start the process NOW!

Hello everyone! This is Ana Ebrahimi, your 07-08 pep band director! I wanted to let you know there will be the one and only pep band of the summer next wednesday, july 4th! We will be playing for the Kiwanis Kiddie Parade in the morning. Details:
  Where to meet: 3rd and C (you can't park on the street, but try to get there early/on time so you can park close by)
  When: be there 9:30am, the parade starts and 10am! the parade is only two blocks, so it should end around 11am
  What: we will play a few songs before the parade and most of the songs after the parade at central park. If anyone knows the national anthem (singing or playing) let me know!
  Why: THE KIDS LOVE US!! everyone truly enjoys the spirit we bring with our awesome songs, and it would be truly memorable if we had the biggest band we could playing peppy songs and having fun
  Theme: AMERICA! so red, white, and blue, etc.
