On August 5, the PBE will host keynote speaker, UCDavis Police Chief
Joseph A Farrow at its lunch time meeting.  He serves as the Public
Safety Director overseeing both the Davis and Sacramento (UC Davis
Health) campuses, bringing over four decades of law enforcement
experience, including nearly a decade as commissioner of the California
Highway Patrol.  Chief Farrow supports a tiered, non-punitive mental
health response model, prioritizing Crisis Intervention Training (CIT)
for officers and partnering with alternative campus services like Health
34 and specialized support dogs. Key Elements of the Mental Health
Approach is 1} Tiered Response, 2) Crisis Intervention Training, 3)
Health 34 Collaboration, and 4}  Therapeutic Outreach.  He will explain
how this all works to create a healthy and safe student environment and
works to prevent community student tragedies of the past.

This is a lunch meeting and will take place at Lamppost Pizza, 1260 Lake
Blvd, in the Westlake Plaza from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The PBE meets the
first and third Wednesdays of each month. Contact Bob Bockwinkel at
530-219-1896 or 530-848-8634 or e-mail G Richard Yamagata at
yamagata at dcn.org for more information.

There were complaints that the social media news post took up too much
of the DDC calendar announcements.  So, the social media posts will move
here to the DDC's community activist e-mail list.  This list was created
for community activism and calls for action.  The social media news
posts are a call for people to participate and to like and repost the
DDC posts. Every like and repost drives up the visibility of social
media posts and aids in our getting our message out.  #RESIST

We are committed to helping the following campaigns on social media and
the names are followed by the amount of money the DDC has sent to these
campaign.  Please support the DDC on Social Media to help these people
with likes, comments and reposts.  We need your help on social media
with likes and reposts.  Contact us if you are posting, so we can help
make you more visible in your support.

For those looking for the club Twitter (now X) account:
https://x.com/DavisDemocratic  We now are at 6,743 Followers and only 57
followers away from our January 2024 number of 5800 followers.  The BIG
difference is that we are actively interfacing with the 10 campaigning
congress people on X and informing them of the $22,000 that the DDC has
donated to their campaigns plus the Governor's race and the Yolo County
Supervisor Race.  We are too small for them to ban us and we continue to
post and magnify anti-Trump posts.  They, MAGA, are attacking
Congressmen Min and Thompson, but we have taken up their cause and
surprisingly, the MAGA accounts are ceasing their attacking posts as we
fight back with words and initiating blocking MAGA blue check account
drives.  They hate being blocked and subsequently we are laughing at
them.  We will continue to support Min, Thompson and all of the
congressman the political ad hoc committee recognized for endorsement.
We will flip the House and Senate Blue.  We continue to #RESIST   Again,
I get most of our hardest hitting material on X to post on Bluesky.

We currently have 38,129 Bluesky followers.  Even though we have
increased this number since the last report, we lost another 40
followers as Bluesky continues purging bot accounts that are scamming
money for candidates and infecting computers with fake blue check
badges.   We are also working to make sure Homeland Security and ICE are
held accountable for the people they have assaulted and killed.  This is
important as ICE has killed yet another person in what they are saying
to protect public safety in Maine.  Remember the name, Joan Sebastián
Durán Guerrero. More and more evidence is coming out that he was killed
by a deranged sociopath recruited by ICE.  If you want to see a very
emotional video on this latest ICE murder by Rachael Maddow, I have
posted it on my Youtube page at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGqNVJp7twA.  We continue to call out
Trump's corruption selling pardons and influence through his meme coin
-- 2 billion by the Saudis this last month of July alone in income to
Trump.  This must be made illegal for any politician to be able to do
this.  The Saudis also have promised to spend $1 Trillion for technology
and support for their Uranium enrichment program from US companies,
corporations and firms.  Trump made $2.2 billion that he reported as
income in 2025.  We are being looted and Trump continues to earn
BILLIONS.  The Davis Democratic Club on Bluesky is:
