people that have question about the November 2020 election process:

*LETTER TO EDITOR MAIL-IN BALLOTS*

If you are a person who is voting by mail-in ballot for the first time 
or have questions about these ballots, you will be interested to know 
that the Davis Senior Center is hosting an event on October 15, 
beginning at 10:00 a.m., where our Yolo County Registrar of Voters Jesse 
Salinas will give an overview on the general election on zoom.He will 
discuss topics that will help us assure that our mail-in ballots will be 
counted, including election changes, safe voting options for seniors, an 
overview of Vote-by-Mail voting, and important resources.To join this

The Associated Press has reported that more than 100,000 mail-in ballots 
were rejected by California election officials during our March 2020 
presidential primary.We can help assure that our mail-in votes will be 
counted in November by educating ourselves on mail-in ballot procedures 
at the Senior Center event.The ballots are due to be mailed to all Yolo 
County active registered voters by the Yolo County Elections Office by 
October 5.Keep your eyes on your mail delivery; attend the Davis Senior 
Center event with your ballot in hand; get your questions answered, and 
send your mail-in ballot as early as possible with confidence that it 
will be counted in this very important election.
