[Davis Democrats] Voluntary action opportunity: FINAL PUSH-vote YES on C-Save LOCAL JOBS in DAVIS SCHOOLS-deadline March 6

Dear Dems: The Davis Democratic Club endorses Yes on Measure C.

If Measure C does not get 2/3 of the votes cast, the Davis School Board has
approved the provisional layoff of 86.7 FULL-TIME equivalent positions. Your
vote can make the difference in saving these local jobs in our Davis
schools. 

As of Thursday this week, only 1/3 of registered voters have voted. In other
words, if 1/9 of the registered voters so far have voted No , then so far we
are losing those jobs.

YOUR VOTE IS NEEDED TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE before the DEADLINE Tuesday, 8pm,
March 6. Because even our U.S. Postal Mail service is being impacted by
imprudent republican budget cuts, you are advised to secure your ballot by
personally depositing your ballot  in the specially marked secure drop box
at the Yolo County (Davis Branch) Library, 315 East 14 St., Davis. Or go to
the Yolo County Elections Office, Yolo County Elections Office, 625 Court
Street, Room B-05, Woodland (just west of the courthouse, downstairs
atrium), 530-666-8133.

If you can¹t get to either of these 2 places before Tuesday 8pm, then mail
your ballot immediately to Yolo County Elections Dept., P.O.Box 1820,
Woodland, Ca. 95776-9910, to be received hopefully by Tuesday, March 6.
 
If you can¹t find your ballot, phone the Elections Office 530-666-8133.

If you would  like to phone others to get out the vote, make sure to read
Martha Beetley¹s note below about her phone banking schedule this weekend.
Your vote will help the teachers, the children, and your neighbors keep
their  jobs, for our civilization.
