This e-mail is going out to the most ardent of the Davis Democratic Club
supporters, community action people, and volunteers.
There are two fundraisers for Davis Democratic Club members that are running
for public office that are being held this weekend. These two people
continue to be supporters of the club and our club events. Included in this
description is a third club member, who will be having a fundraiser at the
end of this month of November, and who is equally supportive of the Davis
Democratic Club.
Stephen Souza Champagne and Chocolate Fundraiser!
This event really sounds like fun!
This Friday on November 12 starting at 6 pm is the Poker, Chocolate and
Champagne Fundraiser at the Souzas' House. This event is for Stephen's 2012
campaign for re-election to the Davis City Council. They plan to have 16
different champagnes/sparkling wines and 7 different type of chocolates so
far. In addition there will be other food and drinks. The suggested
donation for this event is $50/person. If you have already given the
maximum amount for his campaign of $100/person for this city election
campaign cycle that started in July 2011, you do not have to donate any more
by law. Please RSVP to Stephen Souza at sasouza at sbcglobal.net or telephone
Stephen at 530-400-2222.
Mariko Yamada and Harvest Reception!
All are invited to a Harvest Reception for Assemblymember Mariko Yamada this
Sunday, November 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Monticello Seasonal Cuisine, 630 G
Street (next to the Davis Food Coop). Enjoy a special spread and fine wines
with old friends as Mariko kicks-off her 2012 campaign for the new Assembly
District 04! Suggested donation: $15 seniors/students, $40 per person. To
RSVP, email Chris Jansen at cjansenconsulting at gmail.com or call 916-706-1404.

All are invited for a red and white wine and blues music reception for
Senator Lois Wolk from 5:30-7:30 pm, Wednesday, November 30, at Rominger
West Winery 4602 Second St. in Davis. This is out near the new Water Tank
and Target. The suggested donation is $50 per person. To RSVP, email
conniesandersemerson at earthlink.net or call 916-456-4099.
DDC Holiday Party!
I remind everyone to attend the Davis Democratic Club Holiday Party, which
only costs $15/person and $5/student. This fun filled event will be held on
Saturday, December 3 from 6 to 9pm at the International House, 10 College
Park in Davis. This is off of Russell Blvd, opposite of the driveway that
leads off of Russell into the UC Davis Memorial Union and Hickey Gym. This
will be buffet dinner provided by the Davis Democratic Club Board with
beverages (wine and soft drinks) and will feature a raffle. If you plan to
bring a dish to make sure that you will have something to eat, contact Mike
