  Dear John,  With hours left before our deadline last Thursday, I emailed
to let you know we  were just $812 from reaching our goal of raising $27,000
online by midnight.
 
 What happened?
 
 Thousands responded with heartfelt support and blew our challenge out of
the water. Together, we raised nearly $30,000.
 
 Thank you.
 
 Throughout the years, I have asked you many times to help me meet a number
of challenges. We¹re facing new threats now, including attempts by
Washington Republicans to repeal health care reform, cut funding for
institutions like NPR, and turn back the clock on women's rights.
 
 I will keep standing up for what¹s right and look for new ways to move our
country forward despite attempts by ultra-conservatives to go after all that
we¹ve accomplished together. You give me the strength and resources to fight
back. It is your support that makes all of this possible.
