Last minute update on Lois' luau......former Congressman and CA State
Assemblyman Vic Fazio is expected to attend tomorrow's luau! 


 

Vic Fazio was elected to

California's 4th congressional district from 1979 to 1993 and
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California%27s_3rd_congressional_district>
California's 3rd congressional district from 1993 to 1999, after having
served in the California State Assembly from 1975 to 1978; As congressman,
he lobbied to set aside area as a wildlife refuge below the I-80 overpass
between  <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davis,_California> Davis and
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacramento,_California> Sacramento. His
efforts led to the establishment of the
<http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vic_Fazio_Wildlife_Refuge&action=
edit&redlink=1> Vic Fazio Wildlife Refuge, dedicated in 1997 by President
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Clinton> Bill Clinton. California State
Route 113, or Highway 113, is also officially known as the
<http://daviswiki.org/Vic_Fazio> Vic Fazio Highway. Fazio helped deliver the
money to improve and realign 113. Highway 113 connects Davis to
<http://daviswiki.org/Woodland> Woodland and runs directly North/South. It
also marks the beginning of  <http://daviswiki.org/West_Davis> West Davis.
