[Davis Democrats] Club Officer Election Results from February 28

The election meeting at the Blanchard Room of the Yolo County Library on
February 28 was attended by 17 members.  There were 17 ballots posted.  

The meeting was called to order by President Arun Sen at 7:13PM.

Nomination Committee Chair, Bob Bockwinkel presented the slate of officers
nominated by the committee and accepted by the board at the January Board
meeting.  All of the nominess accepted being placed on the slate and are
willing to serve the club.  The nominees were:

Vice President Mike Syvanen
Treasurer Betty Weir
Recording Secretary  G Richard Yamagata
Corresponding Secretary  Julia Sanchez
Membership Chair  Carl Schmid
Publicity Chair  Barbara Slemmons  

Nominees for write-in candidates from the floor were

Membership Chair  Rita Montes-Martin

There were no other nominees from the floor.

Mariko Yamada, who were not running in this election for club office.  We
