THE PROGRAM
The program will start at 12:15. (Brunch will start to be served at 11:30AM)
Helen Thomson, Yolo County Supervisor, is the keynote speaker. She will be
speaking about Conaway Ranch and the current Yolo County court case. She
will also introduce Bob Schneider, who is leading the grassroots campaign
to support the Yolo County Board of Supervisors in their reasonable exercise
of eminent domain (an exchange for fair market value) in order to preserve
this open land for our common heritage.
Following that, there will be the Mayor's traditional greeting, and the
other endorsed Democratic candidates will have an opportunity to speak.
Bob Bockwinkel, Past President of DDC, and John Chendo, Vice-President of
DDC, will co-moderate the presentations. A Special Guest will be Dr. Bill
Falzett, a USAF veteran, one of the seventy two fighting Dems who are running
for Congress against Republican incumbent congressmen.
There will be information and GOTV actions available to take home with you
to mobilize for the Tuesday, June 6, election in Yolo County. Let's work to
elect Democratic representatives to offices of public trust. The DDC has
resolved to support Democratic candidates who will urge re-deploying our
military forces from Iraq, the invasion of which was a bad decision of this
president.
