Town & Country Democratic Club is organizing the 2006 California State Fair
Democratic booth  on behalf of the Sacramento County Democratic Central
Committee  and we're looking for volunteers to man the booth.
 
As you know, the booth is staffed with volunteers,  many of whom represent
one of the various Democratic organizations throughout the region. Those who
have volunteered over the years have found it to be a fun and rewarding
experience.  This election year is sure to offer additional excitement as we
promote Democratic values, register voters and provide a platform for the
many Democratic candidates running in the November general election.
 
The State Fair runs from 8/11 - 9/ 4 .  It will be closed Mondays - except
for Labor Day, 9/ 4
The Democratic booth shifts are as follows:

Fri, Sat, Sun & Labor Day  - 10-:00-2:00; 2:00-6:00; 6:00-10:00

Tues - Thurs - 12:00-4:00; 4:00-7:00; 7:00-10:00.
 
The following dates have been chosen by Democratic organizations.  If you
are a member of that club, you are encouraged to sign up for a shift on that
day.  If you are  a member of a club that has not chosen a date, you may
work any other day the fair is open.  If your club is not listed, you might
consider asking them to participate.
 
 Friday 8/11/06  - JFK Club
Saturday 8/12 & Sunday 8/13 - Sacramento for Democracy
Thursday 8/17 - Democratic Club of South Placer
Saturday 8/19 & Sunday 8/20 - Town & Country Democratic  Club
Friday 8/23 - Auburn Democratic Club
Friday 8/25 &  Sunday 8/27  - WDSC
Saturday 8/26 - 5th Assembly District Committee
Tuesday 8/29 & Wednesday 8/30 - Davis Democratic Club
Friday 9/1 - Folsom Democratic Club
 
Volunteers will receive tickets to the State Fair for the day of their shift
and are encouraged to enjoy the fair before and/or after their shifts.
Parking costs are not covered
 
Also, due to Megan's Law requirements, all volunteers need to contact me
directly to arrange their shift times and provide their personal
information.   
 
For Megan's Law, I need your date of birth, CA drivers license # and
residential zip code.    In addition, I need an address to which your State
Fair tickets should be mailed and a phone number where you can be reached in
case we need to get in touch with you at the last minute.
