[Davis Democrats] Heads up: Monday-constitutional crisis-democrats must fight and fax to save the Supreme Court and U.S.Constitution-numbers for all senators

I plan to send out by Monday the local district fax numbers for all U.S.
Senators.Check your emails Sunday evening.  All the Washington D.C. phone
lines and fax lines at the U.S. Capitol  will probably be clogged on Monday.

  So we should use their local district office fax numbers. Please spend the
money to send faxes: they will get through and make a bigger impact.  At
this point, we need also to  fax all the Republican senators to let them
know that it is un-American to sell our Bill of Rights and our
constitutional checks and balances for a pot of oil in the Middle East,or
for a permanent war against all evildoers.

Al Gore stated the case very plainly a few days ago, as did the Sacramento
Bee's editorial last Sunday in the Forum section. Alito is not worthy to
take the determining moderate "swing" seat of the first woman, Sandra Day
O'Connor.

Points against Alito:
1)In cases where he had   a conflict of interest, financially or personally,
he refused to recuse himself and keep his hands off deciding between
parties. This is like Scalia, who has refused to recuse himself in a case
which would reveal the membership of Cheney's secret "national energy
committee."

2)bizarre judicial philosophy throughout his legal career: presidency in the
executive branch is not a co-equal branch of government; the president is
unilaterally  supreme in interpreting the laws (over the Supreme Court) and
is supreme in canceling or disregarding or not enforcing laws (over the
House and Senate).Bush has canceled 375 environmental regulations.

3)refused to join ROTC or the military during Viet Nam War-yet uses that as
his excuse for joining C.A.P.,which basically fought for affirmative action
for the rich and privileged. An insult to veterans who fought for the
American dream of equal opportunity.

4) hid behind wife's tears at job interview ( a p.r. Trick of Mafia men when
dragged into court)

5)supports secret governnment and secret war, on the president's authority
without congressional declaration or oversight.
