Ummm, let's be clear here.
Some in the tech press have really done a poor job of explaining what this
is.
This is not nationwide and the FCC is not really doing anything to help
communities to build these networks (or attract private providers to do
so).

The good news: the FCC is increasingly on record as recognizing DSL, and to
some extent even cable, is not meeting the needs of communities.
